Lets’ Unwrap The Gift

“The future has just arrived today,
a brand new baby here to play
Ten little fingers, ten little toes
Mommy’s eyes and dad’s nose
They Dressed her up in girly pink
And Skipped a beat when she used to wink
Between the cuddles and snuggles, she grew
She was fortunate, she knew
The heavenly joy sprinkled all the love on her
as she was as precious as amber.”
I just request all of you to close your eyes for a while and imagine playing with a baby in a cradle.
Isn't it a blissful feeling which makes you forget all your stress and worries.
Do you know who that little girl is?
That little girl in the cradle is none other than me who has been gift-wrapped and sent to the most loving family.
And then rollercoaster ride of my journey began where, at every curve, my life introduced me to a myriad of mentors who laid an inspirational impact.
“Mentors, whom I still look upon and still follow their piece of advice.”
“Advice is like snow; the softer it falls, the longer it dwells upon, and the deeper it sinks into the mind.”
To explain it further, Let me take you to the ride of those merry days when the little me was treated as a celebrity.
Merry days, when I used to stay with my grandparents. I am sure that everyone would resonate with this fact that if you get a chance to stay with your grandparents then definitely its a blessing.
Grandparents are a delightful blend of laughter, caring deeds, wonderful stories, and love.
We don’t choose our family, they are God’s gift to us.
My gift, my grandparents poured their sunshine of affection on me and helped me grow from a sapling to a tree with blooming flowers.
My grandfather,.A man with silver hair and a golden heart was a retired army general and thus his lifestyle laid a profound effect on me.
He always taught me how to be disciplined in every aspect of life.
On the other hand, a sweet mention, my adorable grandma, a lady filled with eternal joy and a subtle poise. I was introduced to the world of kindness and usher tranquility because of her.i have imbibed the true values and she introduced me to the roots of Indian culture. still remember the first story she narrated to me was of Lord Rama.
I learned the true essence of moral and cultural values from her.
Then my parents, whom I address as my colorful umbrella. Yes, umbrella you all heard it right. Umbrella because they become a protective shield for me in every weather, be it clouds of stress, or rays of despair. Why a colorful one?
Because they made me experience every color of life, be it red filled love, pink coated joy, blue embellished care. I have imbibed all the preachings given by them in my life.
Then, I definitely owe a lot to my teachers who dwelled to bring out the best in me.
Last, but not the least, the latest addition to my list of mentors are my friends
Harsh, as his name says, happiness is eternal, I have learned from this ray of hope that how one stay cheerful always. Just Netflix and chill.
Suman, a flower that spreads fragrance all over, who is a reservoir of talent and very sweet.
Yatin, a person with a beautiful aura, whose presence can just leave you amazed and whose sense of humor would definitely tickle your funny bones.
Kamal, Mr President, our grandpa. A few of you might be aware that I was struggling with back problems and one day suddenly a message popped up on my screen. It was Kamal, who genuinely asked about my wellbeing and then what happened is truly astonishing. He knew that my inclination is towards fiction and fantasy. He asked me to apply my creative imagination to recover myself.I was awestruck by the idea and I actually did it.
I imagined that a little Tinker Bell fairy is sprinkling the golden magic dust on me and the wound is getting healed. This is Actually working as magic and I owe the credit of my magical recovery to Kamal as well. A bag full of gratitude is on the way.
Last but not the least, the Jerry of my life, Salil. What have I learned from him?
How not to switch off the lights and fan
How to get scolded from mum every now and then.
How to scare the hell out of anyone after watching a dream.
How to mimic a cat.
And the list goes on and on..
But yes, I do appreciate him for one thing, that is for being lucky enough to be my brother. Jokes apart, but he is the one who would never let me quit in any situation.
In the end, I would just like to say...
“ A mentor is someone who allows you to see the hope inside yourself. A one who nourishes you and encourages you at every step of your life.
I am fortunate that I got to have a plethora of precious gemstones as mentors in my life.
